About

Welcome to RAG Closet!Β

What is this about, you ask?

It truly is a sneak peak into my closet! What is in it, where did I get it and how much I paid for it. Often times people associate ‘affordable’ with cheap or low-end, low-quality. I am here to prove that that is just not true! I get a kick out of finding high-quality, low-priced items from thrift stores, department stores, discount stores, you name it. Expect to see items from all kinds of places and how I have decide to style them!

This isn’t about where to find or buy my looks. What I hope to do is to inspire people to be creative, bold and unapologetic about their looks and fashion choices. You don’t have to spend a ton of money on the trendiest fashion items to look fabulous! πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

How and why did this blog get started?

Like many people, I have had quite the relationship with clothing. From HATING shopping as a kid, feeling like I didn’t have any style, to being generally unhappy with my body.

It wasn’t until recent years that I have felt confident enough to put a little umph in my wardrobe and style. My newfound confidence, per say, and appreciation for thrift store shopping has led to the creation of this blog.

I am proud to admit that I get my thrifty ways from my mother.Β πŸ™ƒ

Who am I, outside of RAG Closet?

I currently live and work in San Francisco, California. Apart from the year and a half I spent working, studying and traveling abroad, I have been in the Bay Area my entire life. My career, and full-time job, is a youth worker. I am currently the coordinator for a high school youth program. Outside of my work with teenagers, I enjoy writing (I also have a personal travel/life experiences blog), reading, traveling, Harry Potter and all things PINK! πŸ’•
